Intensification of Cooperation between the Universities of North Rhine-Westphalia and IsraelThe information platform NRW-IsraelOn 3rd of May 2004 the state of Israel and the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia signed an agreement to intensify the cooperation in the fields of research, science and technology. As part of the agreement a joint commission was established, which is to contribute to the exchange of information and experiences as well as eliciting concrete measures. The aim of the internet platform NRW-Israel is to improve access to information in the university and academic fields about existing joint projects as well as potential future partners in NRW and Israel in order to support the initiation of academic networks in addition to the development of university relations. The centre point is the database which provides information about current and recently completed joint projects but also may be used as a contact pool for the formation of networks. Apart from that, the website provides information on funding possibilities and study programmes both in NRW and Israel. The website NRW-Israel was created as part of an initiative by the Ministry of Innovation, Science, Research and Technology NRW and Heinrich-Heine-University, Düsseldorf. |
